ABC iView: A very popular Australian film made in1979 (launching the career of Judy Davis) has been made into a six episode mini series with a modern slant. Written by Miles Franklin in 1901 , it tells of the dreams of a young farm girl, Sybylla, who wants a brilliant career of letters, music & being on stage paralleling an innocent developing nation, Australia. Recommended by Margaret F. |
